Founder Note
A personal note
I created Her Future STEM because I believe more girls and young women deserve to see themselves in science, technology, engineering, and math. Sometimes, STEM can feel intimidating or distant, especially when the stories we hear do not always reflect students from different backgrounds, cultures, or communities.
This project is my way of creating a space where representation, curiosity, and learning come together. Through spotlights, resources, engineering ideas, and student-friendly content, I hope Her Future STEM helps visitors discover new role models, explore different pathways, and feel more confident asking questions.
My goal is not to make STEM seem perfect or easy, but to make it feel possible. I hope every student who visits this site leaves with the reminder that their ideas matter, their background belongs, and their future in STEM is worth imagining.
Why Representation Matters
You Can't Be What You Can't See
Research consistently shows that girls who see women thriving in STEM fields are significantly more likely to pursue those paths. When role models look like you — share your background, your challenges, your identity — the "impossible" starts to feel possible.
Her Future STEM works to close that visibility gap. Not by pretending the barriers don't exist, but by showing — through real stories — what it actually looks like to navigate them and succeed anyway.
